SPRAY POLYURETHANE FOAM INSULATION ( SPF )  Air enters and leaves buildings through cracks, gaps, and leaks found around windows, doors, voids, plumbing and electrical units, and under basework. National energy labs estimate that air infiltration wastes nearly half of every heating and colling dollar. SPF will expand and fill in those gaps and cracks which will in turn conserve energy and enhance the use of your HVAC. All spray foam insulation provides a continuous barrier through out the structure, providing protection from moisture, rodents and insects, thermal bridging, gas, and odor. In addition, spray foam insulation reduces exterior noise and prevents air flow through the walls of your structure. All of these qualities provide exceptional energy reduction beyond the stated R-value. Using spray foam insulation will also increase the value of your home or building as well as adding to its structural integrity. There are some differences between closed-cell and open-cell foam, however.
